September 12, 2025 – Two new group standards, the "Long-Core Battery Casing Production Equipment" (T/SDZBZZ048—2025) and the "Long-Core Battery Casing Manufacturing Technology Specification" (T/SDZBZZ049—2025), officially came into effect today. The standards were drafted by Shandong Xinheyuan Heat Transfer Technology Co., Ltd. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jiangsu ALCHA Aluminum Group Co., Ltd.) and released by the Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Association.
This marks the first time a unified technical standard has been established for the entire "equipment manufacturing to product production" process within China's long-core battery casing sector. The move provides crucial technological support for the high-quality development of the power battery industry chain.

The standards are precisely anchored to the practical manufacturing process requirements of battery casings. While ensuring production safety and intelligent environmental protection, they clearly define requirements for the selection, installation, debugging, and maintenance of production equipment. Furthermore, the specifications meticulously detail the technical parameters and quality requirements for over 20 processes across the full battery casing production flow, covering material selection, dimensional accuracy, and key process control points. This aims to guarantee the casings possess excellent sealing performance and high structural strength, effectively supporting the reliable operation of power batteries under diverse environmental conditions.
"The implementation of these two standards not only showcases the technical strength of the relevant enterprises but also serves as a key measure to promote the upgrading of the industry chain," an industry insider noted. Previously, the lack of unified standards in the long-core battery casing sector led to high communication costs and significant quality fluctuations in areas like equipment docking and product acceptance between upstream and downstream businesses, thereby restricting efficiency.
With the standards now in effect, Shandong Xinheyuan is set to build a technical "moat" to further consolidate its competitive market advantage. Simultaneously, the standards will provide clear technical compliance for upstream and downstream enterprises, fostering synergistic collaboration across raw material supply, equipment manufacturing, and product production. This accelerates the industry's transition from "fragmented exploration" to "standardized development," helping China’s power battery industry solidify its technical foundation in global competition.
